About Me – Feline Info

I’m Annie Clark, and I am a cat lover. I currently have two female cats, one tabby and one black. They are sisters and are rescue kitties. Here they are:

The black one, FiFi, is very prissy. She grooms constantly and can’t stand to have anything on her feet. Apparently, her sister’s grooming isn’t up to snuff, so she grooms her, too. While she likes to sit on laps and be petted, she hates being cuddled or carried. Lily, the tabby, is very friendly and full of curiosity which tends to get her in trouble. She likes to snoop through cabinets and knocks over the Christmas tree every year in her attempt to inspect the ornaments. They consider themselves the rulers of our house.

We got these two after our silver male cat, Sylvester, died at twelve years of age from bladder cancer. We found him right after his eyes had opened, and bottle fed him. He had an incredible personality – great with kids and loved to torment the dog. One minute the dog would be chasing him, and the next, he would be running after the dog. He liked to play chaperone by insisting on sitting between me and my dates on the couch.

I also occasionally foster kittens. This is a great way to help cats that are in need of temporary shelter or some extra attention such as socialization or treatment of medical conditions. And, you get to enjoy more cats without the added expenses of giving them a permanent home. If you can open your home to a cat even for a short period of time, give fostering a try. Your local Humane Society or other cat rescue organizations need your help to rescue as many kitties as possible. Here are some of our former foster kitties:
